Join a compassionate team caring for pediatric and newborn patients across a Level II nursery, Level I nursery, ED consults, and Family Birth Center. You’ll manage a manageable patient load, provide stabilization for critical cases prior to transfer, and work with well-trained RT and RN support staff. Callback volumes are low, and the average in-house clinical time is only about 5–6 hours per day.
This assignment begins with dates in early 2026, with ongoing coverage needed into 2026 as the facility works toward securing a permanent provider.

Schedule: 24-hour call (7am–7am) with ~8 hours of rounding

Pay Rate: $2,550 per 24-hr call (Per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis) + Call back rates

🏥 Practice Setting

Level II nursery, Level I nursery, ED, and Family Birth Center

Average census:

Newborns: 4–6
-
Peds: 0–1

Peds floor: Avg 1–2 patients/day; varies with season

No circumcisions
-
Not required to attend all deliveries—primarily high-risk only

Pediatric ICU: None in-house; stabilize and transfer

Neonatology support by phone with transfer to Eugene, OR
🩺 Clinical Duties

Attend to inpatient pediatric patients
-
ED consults and admits
-
Newborn rounding
-
Stabilize and transfer critical patients

Optional teaching opportunities with students/residents
🛠 Required Skills
Must have 2 cases in the past 24 months of each:

Endotracheal intubations/vent management
-
Spinal tap/lumbar puncture
-
Umbilical line placement
-
Must be able to perform IVIG
-
Required procedures: LP, intubations, umbilical lines, neonatal resuscitation
EMR: Patient Keeper (Meditech interface)
✅ Candidate Requirements

BC/BE in Pediatrics

Active Oregon license
-
DEA
-
Clean malpractice preferred (required for emergency credentialing)

Local or regional providers strongly preferred

Availability for listed dates at time of submission
