Job description
ATC West Healthcare is seeking Board-Certified Pediatricians to provide per diem coverage for the Newborn Nursery at a facility in southeastern OH. This role focuses exclusively on newborn care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists and no pediatric floor coverage. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, family-centered newborn care.

Job Details / Responsibilities

Newborn Nursery Care: Provide comprehensive care for newborns, including routine assessments, discharge planning, and collaboration with the neonatology team.

NICU Support: Partner with Pediatrix Neonatologists for advanced newborn cases; no pediatric floor duties required.

Procedures: Perform circumcisions as needed.

Pediatric Consultations: Offer expert consultation services to the emergency department for pediatric patients.

Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists to ensure coordinated and high-quality care.

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): Participate in CQI initiatives and clinical research projects aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Knowledge Exchange: Engage with Pediatrix’s extensive network of providers to share best practices and clinical insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in Pediatrics — Required

Ohio medical license or IMLC compact eligibility — Preferred

Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience — Required

Recent clinical experience within the last 12 months — Required
