Job Opportunity: Pediatric Hospitalist – Inpatient Coverage
Location: Fort Myers, Florida (must hold active FL license)
Start Date: December 2025 (coverage through December, possible extension into January)
Schedule: Days, nights, and weekends available | 12- or 24-hour shifts
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Coverage needed 7 days per week
Assignment Overview
The Pediatric Hospitalist will provide inpatient pediatric care, including rounding on general pediatric patients, managing admissions, and collaborating with subspecialists. Provider must be independent in lumbar punctures.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient rounding on general pediatric patients
- Manage admissions for new patients
- Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams
- Perform lumbar punctures independently
- Provide 12- or 24-hour call coverage depending on shift assignment
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Active Florida License (required)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- NICA membership/receipts required
- Must submit the following for consideration:
- Updated CV
- NPDB report (within 3 months; must be clean)
- Case logs: 24 inpatient records from the past 12 months (primary source, not personal logs; include patient ages if possible)
- Documentation of board certification and Florida license
