Job description

Job description A leading children’s hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician for a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist role. This permanent position offers varied shift coverage (combination of in-house and call-from-home), working on a 46-bed pediatric floor with an average daily census of 25–30 patients. The position is supported by a robust team of pediatric specialists including PICU, NICU, and pediatric emergency providers.

Job Responsibilities

β€’ Deliver inpatient pediatric care to a diverse patient population
β€’ Participate in a rotating schedule including night, weekend, and on-call coverage
β€’ Work alongside a collaborative team of pediatric hospitalists and subspecialists
β€’ Ensure accurate documentation and maintain hospital case logs
β€’ Opportunity to participate in academic teaching and mentoring (optional)

Qualifications

β€’ Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) in Pediatrics – REQUIRED
β€’ Active Nevada medical license or willingness to obtain – REQUIRED
β€’ DEA and Nevada CSR/CDS licenses – MUST be obtained prior to start
β€’ At least 1 year of recent inpatient hospitalist experience – REQUIRED
β€’ Ability to provide 12 months of hospital case logs during interview – REQUIRED
β€’ Clean malpractice and license history – Highly Preferred
β€’ Not accepting candidates who need visa sponsorship or who have lapsed board certification
β€’ Not a locums position

Working Hours

β€’ Full-time (Approx. 2016 hours annually)
β€’ Varied shifts including nights, weekends, and call-from-home rotations
