Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for short-term call-only coverage. This is an inpatient-only locum tenens assignment with low patient volume and no admissions required. The provider must be licensed in Wyoming or hold a valid IMLC license.
- Provide inpatient pediatric call coverage
- Respond to pediatric care needs as they arise, including phone consults and in-hospital support
- Handle newborn care and attend to Level I/II Nursery cases if necessary
- Participate in pediatric inpatient consults (if needed)
- No outpatient, surgical, or procedure responsibilities
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required)
- Fellowship preferred but not required
- Must hold an active Wyoming license or be IMLC-eligible
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, AR
- Must be comfortable with inpatient pediatrics and newborn care
- Experience in Level I or II nursery care is preferred
- Call-only coverage
- Beeper call (response time TBD)
- Exact call ratio and volume TBD by facility
- Patient load: 1–5 patients per shift (low volume expected)
- No rounding, admissions, or procedures required
- Inpatient pediatric hospitalist experience
- Newborn care (including C-section attendance and nursery coverage)
- Strong communication for consults and hand-offs
- Comfortable working independently in a low-volume environment
- EMR: HMS MedHost / CPOE
