Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist for long-term locum tenens coverage. This opportunity offers flexible monthly scheduling and minimal patient load, providing a balanced work-life rhythm in a coastal Northern California setting.
- Provide 24-hour on-call pediatric hospitalist coverage (remote with 20–30 min response time)
- Manage pediatric and newborn care as needed
- Participate in limited procedures as per privileges (see below)
- Collaborate with nursing staff; no supervision of residents or APPs required
- Ensure timely documentation in Epic EMR
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3–5 years of residency (Pediatrics)
- Active California Medical License (Required to bid)
- NRP, BLS, PALS, ACLS – Required
- Must have a clean file preferred for faster credentialing
- Minimum of 30 days credentialing; Temporary privileges available for qualifying candidates
- Candidates should be comfortable with the following:
- Ventilation management (pediatric/newborn)
- Intubation (newborn & pediatric)
- Lumbar puncture
- UVC/UAC
- X-ray & EKG interpretation
- Emergency procedures (needle decompression, chest tube insertion, etc.)
- Circumcision (preferred but not required)
Job Responsibilities
Manage pediatric and newborn care as needed

Active California Medical License (Required to bid)

Working Hours
Not required to remain on-site
Average patient census: 1–7 per shift
