Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist with an active Maryland license or IMLC in hand for locum tenens coverage in a well-supported, pediatric-focused inpatient setting. This role offers a consistent and balanced schedule, covering a range of pediatric needs from general inpatient care to newborn nursery and emergency department consultations.

Provide 12-hour inpatient coverage (8a–8p or 8p–8a)

Manage patients in:

5-bed pediatric unit
-
After-hours 5-bed ED overflow
-
Newborn nursery
-
-
Respond to ED pediatric consults
-
Act as backup for deliveries
-
No on-call requirements
-
Rounding on pediatric inpatients

Work independently with support from 24/7 NICU coverage

MD or DO
-
Board Certified in Pediatrics

Active Maryland license or valid IMLC

DEA and Maryland CSR license required

Certifications Required:
▸ PALS
▸ NRP
▸ Other pediatric-specific credentials as applicable -
Minimum 1 year of pediatric inpatient experience

Job Responsibilities

Certifications Required:

Minimum 1 year of pediatric inpatient experience
Working Hours
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
No on-call or committee obligations
Skills
Comfort with solo coverage and multidisciplinary coordination
Confident managing general pediatrics and attending deliveries
Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
