Practice Setting

• Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist service, 100% pediatrics.
• Day shift covers pediatrics only, night shift covers pediatrics and newborns, includes Level 3 NICU newborns.
• Onsite support from neonatology, plus PICU, pediatric anesthesia, pediatric gastroenterology, and pediatric endocrinology.
• Common admits include asthma, seizures, gastroenteritis, pneumonia, general pediatrics, and newborns.

Schedule

• Day and night shifts are available.
• Average volume, days about 7 pediatric patients, nights about 20 pediatric patients.
• No call required.

Cases and Procedures

• General pediatrics and newborn care, including Level 3 NICU newborns.
• Lumbar punctures.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Pediatric Hospital Medicine board certified, or board eligible within 5 years.
• Pennsylvania license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, open to IMLC Physicians.
• BLS and PALS required.
