Details: I am looking for a passionate Pediatrician seeking a rewarding hospital-based role. Here are the details:

Position: Pediatrician (Out-of-House Model)

Shifts: Minimum of 5 24-hour shifts per month

Patient Care: You’ll have the opportunity to see patients in both the Nursery and Pediatric Floors, with occasional procedures.

Qualifications:

Board Certification: Must be a BC Pediatrician with experience in hospital-based pediatric care, well-baby care, and special care nursery.

Licensing: We welcome providers with compact licenses. If you have one, submit your active IMLC letter of qualification.

Background Check: A clean background is essential. Providers with any malpractice history must be submitted to our MSP coordinator for approval before submission.

Certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.

About Our Facility:

Physician Coverage: One physician on duty at a time.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): We use Medimobile and Cerner for seamless documentation.

NICU/Newborn Nursery:

Peds: 12 beds

Nursery: 30+ beds

Average Daily Census:

Nursery admissions: 4-12

Pediatric admissions: 2-6

Shift Timing:

Days: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM

Admissions completed by newborns born before 10:00 AM

Pediatric admissions by 3:00 PM

Team Composition:

Start your day with well-baby new admissions.

Occasionally, medical students (0-3) and family medicine residents may join you in the nursery.

FNP handles well-baby care on subsequent days.

Our hospital boasts 176 beds and sees an impressive annual delivery count of 3776.
