- Pediatric patients must be seen within 12 hrs of admission.
• Admissions: Before 4p
- 4 pediatric patients per day
- 7 Newborn/Nursery patients
• Rounding Included: Yes; Daily
• Required procedures: Pediatric Resuscitation and Intubation.
• Duties: Pediatric hospitalist is the attending for any children admitted through the ER or by direct admit.
• Trauma Level: II
• EMR: Cerner Care B
• Other Info:
- Facility does not have a PICU and NICU is covered by Neonatologists.
- Emergency Codes are run by Emergency Med physicians.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements:
• Active CA License
• BC/BE (Pediatrics) If BE: within 3 yrs post residency.
• CA DEA
• PALS
• Clean record
• COVID Vaccination proof
• Can cover the required shifts.
• Active staff membership at a TJC-accredited hospital, without privilege restriction.
• Must be CA Children's Services CCS) paneled.
• Must provide resident teaching/precepting.
