Pediatric Gastroenterologist – Academic & Clinical Role with Room to Grow

Are you a Pediatric Gastroenterologist with a passion for teaching and a drive to make an impact in both inpatient and outpatient care? Join a thriving and supportive pediatric department that’s growing fast — and helping to train the next generation of physicians along the way. Located 1.5 hrs to Metro Detroit, in Michigan's Great Lakes Bay Area.

We’re looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric GI to take on a full-time faculty position with both clinical and academic responsibilities. Whether you're early in your career or bring leadership experience, this opportunity can be shaped around your goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • See patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings

  • Participate in consults and procedures

  • Teach residents and medical students (academic appointment included)

  • Get involved in scholarly and research activities (time is allocated!)

  • Work in a collegial environment with growing pediatric subspecialties

This position is part of a larger initiative to expand pediatric services and support a new pediatric residency program. You’ll enjoy a built-in referral network from across a wide geographic region and collaborate with specialists who are as passionate about patient care as they are about education.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation based on MGMA private practice benchmarks, with incentives

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, malpractice, and retirement

  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance

  • CME allowance + 5 days annually

  • Visa sponsorship available

  • Four weeks of PTO

  • Supportive call schedule and flexibility to match your needs

About the Environment:

You’ll be practicing in a modern healthcare system that includes:

  • A full team of pediatric subspecialists

  • Level III NICU and dedicated PICU

  • Pediatric sedation services, autism center, rehab services, and more

  • Pediatric-focused emergency care and inpatient support

You’ll be part of a growing academic health system with eight residency programs, including pediatrics. The setting offers an excellent quality of life, low cost of living, easy access to airports and metro areas, and a welcoming community for you and your family.

✅ What You’ll Need:

  • MD/DO and eligible for medical licensure

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics

  • Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship training preferred

  • Controlled Substance License (or eligible)

  • Interest in teaching and clinical research

If you're looking for a position where you can treat, teach, and lead, this is your chance to be part of a team that's growing with purpose — and shaping the future of pediatric care.
