JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Pediatric Endocrinology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Greensboro, NC
• Service Setting: Pediatrics / Children's Facility
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: 08/04/2025 – Ongoing (26 weeks)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p (minimum 2 weeks/month)
• On-Call Shift Schedule: One weekend + one week per month (8a–5p hospital call, 8a–8a pager call, all by phone)
• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Ratio: TBD (1 weekend + 1 week/month)
• Call Response Time: Phone consult only (attending-to-attending)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents (birth to age 21)
• Patient Volume/Census: 10–12 patients/day (mix of new and follow-ups)
• Rounding: Included, main hospital location (flexible timing)
• Phone Consults: Yes (by phone only)
• Case Mix: Adrenal disorders, Diabetes, Growth issues, Lipid disorders, Thyroid/pituitary/menstrual disorders, Obesity, Vitamin D deficiency
FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard pediatrics setup
• Specialty Backup Available: Pediatric Neurology, Genetics, Surgery, GI, Pulmonology, Complex Care, NICU follow-up, Development & Behavior
• Support Staff Available: RNs, CMAs, 1 FT and 1 PT physician, NP
• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy due to provider departure
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Pediatric endocrine evaluations and management (no procedural requirements specified)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric specialties
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active NC license required
• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology, DEA required, PALS preferred
• Other Qualifications: Epic charting experience required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide pediatric endocrinology care to patients from birth through adolescence
• Conduct evaluations for a variety of endocrine disorders
• Manage both new consultations and follow-up visits
• Participate in call coverage for hospital and outpatient settings (via phone)
• Collaborate with internal pediatric subspecialties as needed
