Job description
- Support Staff: RN’s, CMA’s, one other full time and part time physician, and NP.
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
- Schedule Details: Minimum 2 weeks per month. 1 weekend of call coverage, and 1 week of call coverage. Call coverage TBD
Mon-Fri Clinic 8a-5p with call coverage TBD
Call: weekends hospital call is 8:00a-5:00p but by phone only (meaning the hospital knows there will not be anyone going in). Pager call is 8a-8a by phone always.
o hospital call Monday-Sunday. That is only 8:00 am-5:00. Pager call for the office is 8a-8a.
During the week, hospital call is 8a-5p and the provider can make the call if they go into the hospital to see the patients or do it by phone. The providers will be available for phone consults, but will only come in on a case-by-case basis.
Call Expectations: Calls will be attending-to-attending only. The endocrinologists will not be responsible for writing discharge notes or care plans.
Call will consist of consults and rounding at main hospital location.
They are flexible on if provider wants to do that prior to clinic, or after lunch time, depending on patient load and scheduling patients.
Work Details:
- EMR/Charting Software: EPIC
- Avg. Daily Census: 10-12 with a mix of new and follow ups.
- Patient Age Group: Birth - 21
- Department description: Provider will be seeing 10-12 patients with 60 minutes for new patients, 30 minutes for follow ups. Treating Adrenal gland conditions, Diabetes, Early or delayed puberty, Growth problems, Lipid disorders, Low blood sugar, Menstrual disorders, Obesity, Pituitary gland conditions, Thyroid gland conditions, Vitamin D deficiency. They have these other specialties within their practices to collaborate within the group: Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Genetics, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Complex Care Clinic, after NICU care, and Pediatric Development and Behavior.
Requirements:
- Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: BC or BE in Pediatric Endocrinology
- State License(s): NC
- Certifications: CPR, PALS are a plus
- DEA Req’d? Required
- Years of Experience Req’d: They’re flexible.
Credentialing Timeframe: 60- 90 days

Orientation information:
Parking instructions: Can park in the front of the building for first day. Once they receive their badge on day 1 they will be able to get into the designated provider lot.
What to wear: Business casual or scrubs
Any other information that would be helpful: They should have receive an email with instructions for EPIC training or to test out. This is helpful if they can complete prior to first day.
