• Candidates must have completed a Medical Doctorate and subsequent fellowship
• Candidates must be certified or eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Endocrinology

Ranked among the top programs in the country, the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes operates within MUSC’s Department of Pediatrics and provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for a broad range of diagnoses. Division members currently include 3 M.D. Faculty, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, a dietitian, and a dedicated social worker. The Division provides comprehensive care to children and teenagers with diabetes and a variety of other endocrine issues. We conduct clinical research studies that offer patients and their families an opportunity to participate in population health research as well as clinical trials.

MUSC is the premier tertiary referral center and academic teaching hospital in South Carolina. The Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, completed in 2020, is a 250-bed facility housing a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. Outpatient clinics take place at Summey Medical Pavilion, our state-of-the-art pediatrics subspecialty facility located in North Charleston. Our Pediatric Residency Program includes 66 residents and 43 fellows in pediatrics.
