TeamHealth is seeking a pediatric emergency medicine physician who can work in both adult emergency department (ED) and pediatric ED settings. Grand Strand is a level 1 trauma center with level 2 pediatric ED. This position is primarily for the pediatric ED with opportunity to work on adult side as well. The ideal candidate will be emergency medicine residency trained with a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship, or dual emergency medicine/pediatrics residency trained. Grand Strand Medical Center has an inpatient pediatric unit and a PICU. The hospital is an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center, and offers an emergency medicine residency program with 12 residents each year. The adult ED sees 90,000 visits annually, pediatric ED sees 8,400 visits annually. The EMR is Meditech, and the hospital has a trauma team. This role is an independent contractor status.
