Pediatric Emergency Physician - (EM Peds, ER Peds) Locum Tenens
Medical Facility in Houston, Texas is seeking a Pediatric Emergency physician to assist with growing their new Pediatric Emergency Department. Position begins January 2016. Single coverage needed. 5 days in January; 10 days per month, February through March. 5 patients per day; 6 bed Pediatric ED. BE/BC or PEDS with EM experience. Must have completed residency. ATLS, ACLS and PALS is a must. EMR system: Pdoc; Meditech.
Specializing in the diagnosis and care of children and teenagers who are acutely ill, suffering from life-threatening conditions or injured, pediatric emergency physicians(locum tenens) are required to treat a plethora of ailments. These physicians must be able to deal with medical emergencies, often treating patients who have incurred trauma or are suffering from exotic illnesses. As with any pediatric specialty, easing anxiety and pain is paramount in pediatric emergency care.
