St. Christopher's Hospital is seeking a Chief for the Section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

  • The Department of Emergency Medicine is a 34-bed unit with approximately 50,000 visits annually.
  • The position of Chief will manage a high functioning team that accounts for over 70% of admissions and is the lifeblood of the hospital.
  • There is a well-established PEM fellowship with 3 fellows per year (the fellowship had a 100% fill rate again this year) with an outstanding Program Director and many engaged core faculty.

With more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children combines topnotch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties, including Cardiology; Ear, Nose and Throat; Gastroenterology; Oncology; and Orthopedics. It houses the only Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. St. Christopher’s is a Magnet® designated hospital and has been recognized as a Women’s Choice Award Best Children’s Hospital.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Medicine (M.D. or D.O.) and PA license or ability to obtain.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership accomplishments
An interpersonal skillset that focuses on team-building
