Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Opportunity in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Step into a high-impact role with ample room for growth and leadership in an outpatient-only setting. A respected children's hospital is actively recruiting a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician to meet urgent patient demand and lead a collaborative care team. This is a rare opportunity to build a program and make a lasting impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.


Practice Overview

  • You'll join a team of therapists, psychologists, and social workers in a dedicated developmental pediatrics clinic
  • Outpatient-only practice; no hospital duties, no call, and no weekend or holiday coverage
  • Team-based collaboration with speech therapy, OT, psychology, and clinical social work onsite
  • Patient mix includes ASD, complex ADHD, developmental delay, learning disabilities, and medically complex children


Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
  • 36 patient-facing hours + 4 admin hours per week
  • No inpatient responsibilities, procedures, or call
  • Predictable weekday schedule with protected admin time


Compensation & Benefits

  • Guaranteed base salary between $215,097 and $246,000
  • Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and quality-based incentives available

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics
  • Open to new grads and experienced clinicians; 2025 fellows encouraged to apply
  • H1B and J1 visa support available
  • Interest in teaching is welcomed but not required
