- oes physician need Board Certification? Yes- BC in Developmental Peds
- Prefer NCMBL (licensed already in NC) but am willing to look at anyone who may need to obtain NCMBL as well.
- Experience with autism and Developmental disabilities
- Monthly coverage requirements: M-F, 8am - 5pm outpatient only
- Support staff: 1 LPA, 1 NPs, 2.5 LCSWs, Doctorate Psychologist, clerical, clinical, & leadership support. DNP starting in December and have an offer extended to another Doctorate level Child psychologist
- EMR: Cerner
- Daily Patient Volume- 8, mostly established patients already
- would love a Dev Peds certified physician first but if not, we could go after a Child Psychiatrist based on these points:
- “In terms of a locum tenens position, we could accommodate a child and adolescent psychiatrist who has interest and expertise in the care of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as this is the core of our practice.
- Options for clinical care include 1) medication management and 2) diagnostic evaluation (e.g., ASD). Medication management could occur either with patients new to our clinic or existing patients.
- It would be important to minimize patient transition. Perhaps med mgt with new patients—setting up the expectation that the provider will likely transition to a new provider—would be more tolerable for families.
- Alternatively, we could consider a locum tenes provider for patients who have not landed yet with a new provider, again setting up the expectation that this would be temporary until we are able to recruit new providers.
