Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Physician
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $250000.00 - $275000.00
The University of Mississippi Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care, seeks a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist with experience working in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). The incoming Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist will join a team of 11 pediatric intensivists and 10 nurse practitioners who support our ACGME-approved PICU fellowship program. Our hospital is the sole children's hospital in Mississippi and receives roughly 1,800 ICU admissions and 400 cardiac admissions per year. Candidates must have completed a pediatrics residency and fellowship in pediatric cardiology or critical care, possess strong clinical and leadership skills, and be interested in quality improvement and research activities with active participation in fellow education.

Children's Mississippi offers exceptional pediatric care, featuring a Level IV NICU, a Center of Excellence for Surgical Safety, the state's only Level I pediatric trauma center, and accredited centers for cystic fibrosis and sickle cell disease. Their extensive educational programs include 55 residents and 28 fellows across seven pediatric fellowships, including cardiology, critical care, and rheumatology. The Stephanie and Mitchell Morris Center for Cleft and Craniofacial Research and Innovation is also certified by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. Notably, the Children's of Mississippi Pediatric Intensive Care Unit has received the prestigious BEACON Award for Excellence. It is the only unit in Mississippi and one of just 34 in the country to receive this honor.
