Job Description

A Newark, Delaware based client is seeking an experienced Pediatric Urgent Care Physician to work within an excellent pediatric urgent care network in Delaware. An ideal candidate would have three to five years of experience providing care in an urgent or emergency care pediatric setting. This role involves both in-person and telemedicine care. Required Qualifications

• Attended an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
• Completed an accredited residency program
• DEA certificate
• 3-5 years of urgent care or emergency department experience
• Board eligible or board certified in pediatrics
• CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Telemedicine experience
• Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat acute injury and illness for in-person and telemedicine pediatric patients including but not limited to anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma
• Perform procedural care such as abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair
• Ordering and interpreting x-rays with official radiology over-reads
• Oversee office staff and providers and report needed procedural changes to managements
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Focus on efficiency metrics to improve in person and telemedicine urgent care flow and patient experience
