Cytopathology Physician in Oklahoma
StartDate: ASAP

Merritt Hawkins’ academic division has partnered with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine to recruit a Director of Cytopathology. We are seeking am anatomic pathology who is committed to excellence in diagnostics, research, and teaching. The successful senior leader will be board certified in Pathology with five years post fellowship experience and specialty training in Cytopathology. The incoming faculty member will lead a team with multiple opportunities to conduct collaborative or independent clinical and translational research. In addition, this position provides a unique balance of practice fulfillment and quality of life.

Director of Cytopathology Leadership Opportunity
The successful candidate will:
  • Lead the Cytopathology Service in the thriving Anatomic Pathology Division of the OU Medical System Laboratory, which serves adult and pediatric populations
  • Join a collegial department with a very supportive chair
  • Conduct collaborative or independent clinical and translational research.
  • Work with the department’s seven PhD principal investigators in cancer biology and nanotechnology
  • Further develop your national reputation in your area of expertise
  • Access modern translational research core laboratories
  • Be part of the rapidly expanding Stephenson Cancer Center
  • Teach medical students, pathology residents, and fellows
