Surgical Pathology Opportunity | Bryan/College Station, Texas

The Department of Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine is looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Surgical Pathologist to join its hospital-based team in Bryan/College Station, Texas, home to Texas A&M University.

This is a general surgical pathology role supporting a two-campus, 284-bed system with a manageable case volume and light call. You’ll have strong on-site support, access to subspecialty consultation, and the resources of a larger academic pathology network without giving up the collegial feel of a community-based practice.

Position Highlights

  • General surgical pathology with light call responsibilities
  • No autopsies
  • Approximately 7,500 surgical and 500 cytology cases annually
  • On-site Pathologists’ Assistant and dedicated administrative support
  • Grossing, histology, and immunohistochemistry performed on-site
  • Subspecialty sign-out support for hematopathology and bone marrow cases
  • Broad access to subspecialty consultants across Baylor Medicine
  • ENT, breast, or GI pathology experience is preferred but not required
  • Opportunity to be part of a growing regional pathology network

Baylor Medicine Pathology includes 46 pathologists providing anatomic and clinical pathology services throughout the Texas Medical Center and across a growing network of regional hospitals in South Texas, including Bryan-College Station. The department is continuing to expand its work in digital pathology, advanced diagnostics, and physician leadership across its practice locations.
