Full Time
Permanent Position
Seeking Fellowship-Trained Hematopathologist to join established pathology team in Rochester, New York
Position Highlights:
Join multispecialty pathology group of 27 experienced pathologists
Work alongside 3 experienced hematopathologists
Laboratory and section directorship opportunities available
Support growing hematopathology service including:
- 1,200+ diagnostic flow cytometry cases annually
- 450+ bone marrow biopsies and aspirates annually
Provide hematopathology consultation across multiple surgical pathology subspecialties
Collaborate closely with Hematology-Oncology and Cancer Institute physicians
Support regional Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
Participate in growing Acute Leukemia, Stem Cell Transplant, and Cellular Therapy programs
Teaching opportunities with:
- Hematology-Oncology fellows
- Pathology residents and fellows
- Medical students
- Clinical Laboratory Technology students
Opportunity to participate in global clinical trials through ACM Global Laboratories
Responsibilities:
Interpret bone marrow biopsies, aspirates, flow cytometry, and related hematopathology specimens
Provide hematopathology consultation services
Participate in laboratory leadership and directorship activities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams
Participate in teaching and academic activities
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Clinical Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology preferred
Fellowship trained in Hematopathology
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematopathology
Active New York license or ability to obtain
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation range: $300,000 - $400,000
