Locum to Perm Pathology Physician

Position Type: Locum to Perm
Specialty: Physician - Pathology
Location: New York
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 3–6 Month Assignment with Permanent Potential

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult Hospital Patients
Setting: Hospital-Based Pathology Laboratory
Responsibilities: Providing general anatomic pathology coverage, frozen section analysis, cytology interpretation, surgical pathology review, and collaboration with pathology laboratory staff
Required Procedures: Surgical Pathology, Cytology & Frozen Section Analysis
EMR System: Epic / Beaker
Support Staff: 4 Pathologists, Histotechnologists, Cytotechnologists & Pathology Assistants
Days Per Month: Monday – Friday Coverage
On-Call/Weekends: No Call Required

Submission Requirements:

  • AP Board Certification Required
  • Active New York License Required
  • NPDB Self-Query Required at Presentation
  • Clean Malpractice & Background History Preferred
