🏥 Position Overview
We are actively seeking Board-Certified Pathologists for an urgent locum opportunity in Georgetown, South Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive pathology coverage across multiple affiliated facilities within a regional healthcare network.
The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative pathology team, supporting multiple hospitals and laboratories while handling a diverse pathology caseload.
👨⚕️ Eligible Provider
✔️ Board-Certified Pathologist (MD/DO)
✔️ Active South Carolina Medical License Required
✔️ Ability to read across multiple pathology subspecialties preferred
🔎 Key Responsibilities
🔬 Interpret and diagnose surgical pathology and laboratory specimens
🧪 Provide pathology reading support for multiple affiliated facilities
📋 Deliver timely diagnostic reports and case documentation
🤝 Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support patient care
🏥 Practice Environment
🏥 Multi-site pathology coverage across a regional health system
🔬 Opportunity to work with varied pathology cases and subspecialties
💻 EPIC EMR system utilized
🚫 No call coverage required
📅 Schedule & Coverage
📆 Monday – Friday schedule
⏰ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
🍽️ 1-hour unpaid lunch break
📍 Providers may support multiple regional locations including:
• Georgetown, SC
• Orangeburg, SC
• Hilton Head, SC
• Coastal Carolina region
• Columbia area
Coverage may vary depending on credentialing and scheduling needs.
