Job description
We are seeking an Pathologist (AP/CP Board Certified, active CA license, 2+ years experience) to join a well-established pathology group in Bakersfield, working with a collaborative team across four local hospitals.
Job Responsibilities
Perform anatomic pathology (AP) evaluations including gross examination and microscopic analysis of tissue specimens.
Oversee and interpret clinical pathology (CP) laboratory services including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and transfusion medicine.
Provide accurate and timely pathology reports to support clinical decision-making for physicians and care teams.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and hospital staff to discuss diagnostic findings and patient care recommendations.
Participate in quality assurance and laboratory compliance programs to maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.
Support and guide laboratory personnel and technical staff as needed.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
Contribute to a collaborative pathology team serving multiple hospital facilities within the health system.
Stay current with advances in pathology, laboratory medicine, and diagnostic technologies.
Qualifications
