A healthcare organization in Georgetown, South Carolina is seeking 2–3 experienced Pathologists for a hospital-based locum assignment providing inpatient diagnostic pathology services across multiple affiliated hospital locations.
This role offers a dynamic environment for physicians who enjoy working with a wide range of surgical pathology and laboratory specimens while collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams and laboratory professionals.
The physician will provide diagnostic pathology services for several hospitals within a regional healthcare network and should be comfortable working with diverse pathology subspecialties and adapting to multiple clinical environments.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide diagnostic pathology interpretations for multiple hospital sites
• Prepare and finalize pathology reports for clinical teams
• Collaborate with physicians and laboratory staff to support accurate diagnosis
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting using Epic EMR
• Assist laboratory teams in maintaining diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency
• Provide pathology coverage across multiple affiliated hospital locations
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology
• Active South Carolina medical license required
• Ability to interpret a broad range of pathology subspecialties
• Comfortable working across multiple hospital locations
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Working Hours
Assignment Type: Ongoing locum coverage
Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Lunch Break: 1-hour unpaid break
Call: No call required
Urgent Coverage Needs:
• April 6 – April 10: Georgetown, SC
• May 9 – May 22: Orangeburg, SC
