⏰ Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
A hospital-based pathology laboratory is seeking a Locum Pathologist to assist with coverage due to a staffing shortage. This assignment offers a collaborative environment with an experienced pathology team and support staff.

🏥 Practice Setting
✔ Hospital-based anatomic pathology laboratory
✔ Collaborative pathology group environment
✔ EMR: Epic / Beaker
✔ CLIA and NYS certified laboratory
🔬 Clinical Responsibilities
• General Anatomic Pathology
• Surgical Pathology interpretation
• Cytology evaluation
• Frozen section analysis
• Grossing specimens
• Cutting frozen sections on the cryostat
Physicians will work closely with laboratory staff and other pathologists to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Annual case volume:
• ~13,000 surgical pathology specimens
• ~3,000 cytology specimens
🧰 Laboratory Equipment
• ThinPrep Integrated Imager (Hologic)
• Cryostat – Avantik QS12UV / Avantik QS II
• Microscopes – Nikon Eclipse E400 & Olympus BX41
Cytology cases are prepared using the ThinPrep method, and cytology proficiency testing is required for GYN cytology.

📆 Assignment Length: 3–6 months
⏳ Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 40–45 days
📍 Practice Setting: Hospital pathology lab
