Level III Trauma Center
Coverage Duration: 3–6 Months
Call: None

You’ll work alongside:

• 4 Pathologists

• 5 Histotechnologists

• 1 Pathology Assistant

• 2 Cytotechnologists

Other pathologists will be present during your coverage, and no supervisory responsibilities are required.

🔬 Scope of Practice

• General Anatomic Pathology

• Surgical Pathology

• Cytology

• Frozen Section Analysis

• Grossing of specimens

• Cutting frozen sections on cryostat

Annual Volume:

• ~13,000 Surgical Specimens

• ~3,000 Cytology Specimens

Cytology proficiency exam required for GYN cytology.

🧪 Lab Certifications & Equipment

• CLIA & NYS Certified Laboratory

• ThinPrep Integrated Imager (Hologic)

• Cryostat: Avantik QS12UV / Avantik QS II

• Microscopes: Nikon Eclipse E400 & Olympus BX41

• EMR: EPIC / Beaker

• AP Board Certified

• Active New York License

• NPDB Self-Query Report (dated within 30 days from presentation)
