Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Pathology in Syracuse, NY

This facility experiences a high volume of surgical and cytological specimens and is seeking a Pathologist for a locum coverage period of 3 to 6 months due to a current shortage. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct general anatomic pathology, frozen section analysis, and cytology.
• Manage a surgical pathology volume of approximately 13,000 specimens per year.
• Oversee cytology analysis with a volume of about 3,000 specimens annually.
• Perform grossing of specimens independently.
• Utilize thinprep methodology and maintain proficiency in GYN cytology.
• Collaborate with fellow pathologists and staff in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• AP Board Certified - [REQUIRED]
• Active New York State license - [REQUIRED]
• Self-Query NPDB report required at the time of presentation; must be pulled within the same month as submission - [REQUIRED]
• 25k Conversion Fee - [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:
