Job Opportunity: Locum to Perm - Physician - Pathology

Join a dynamic hospital-based pathology lab in Syracuse, NY! We are seeking a skilled Pathologist to cover our team for a 3 to 6 month period due to a shortage. This facility features a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with modern tools such as a Thin prep integrated imager and advanced cryostats. The practice environment supports a collaborative team of experienced physicians and specialists, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct general anatomic pathology evaluations including surgical pathology and cytology.
• Perform frozen section analyses as required.
• Manage approximately 13,000 surgical specimens and 3,000 cytology specimens annually.
• Participate in maintaining laboratory protocols and compliance with regulations.
• Utilize EPIC/Beaker documentation systems efficiently.

Qualifications:

• AP Board Certified - [REQUIRED]
• Active NY State license - [REQUIRED]
• A self-query NPDB report (valid for the current month) - [REQUIRED]
• 25k conversion fee - [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid New York State Medical License - [REQUIRED]
