🩺 Position Details

• Specialty: Pathology

• Position Type: Locum to Permanent

• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Call: No call required

• Coverage Duration: 3–6 months with potential for permanent placement

• Credentialing Time: ~40–45 days

🔬 Practice Setting

Hospital-based pathology laboratory with an established and supportive team:

• 4 Pathologists

• 5 Histotechnologists

• 1 Pathology Assistant

• 2 Cytotechnologists

📊 Case Volume

• ~13,000 surgical pathology specimens annually

• ~3,000 cytology specimens annually

🧾 Responsibilities

• General Anatomic Pathology

• Surgical Pathology

• Cytology

• Frozen Section Analysis

• Grossing specimens and performing frozen sections when required

• Collaborating with other physicians and lab professionals

🖥️ Equipment & Systems

• ThinPrep Integrated Imager (Hologic)

• Cryostat – Avantik QS Series

• Microscopes – Nikon & Olympus

• EMR: Epic / Beaker

✅ Requirements

• AP Board Certification

• Active New York Medical License

• NPDB Self-Query (current month)

• Strong diagnostic and pathology interpretation skills
