St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Pathologist for a 3–6-month locum assignment to support a busy hospital-based pathology lab. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality pathology services in a collaborative team environment with no call responsibilities.

🩺 Responsibilities

• General anatomic pathology

• Frozen section analysis using Cryostat (Avantik QS12UV / QS II)

• Cytology (ThinPrep preparation, Hologic integrated imager)

• Grossing of own specimens

• Documentation via EPIC/Beaker

• Work alongside 4 pathologists, 5 histotechnologists, 1 pathology assistant, and 2 cytotechnologists

📊 Practice Details

• Surgical pathology volume: ~13,000 specimens/year

• Cytology volume: ~3,000 specimens/year

• Laboratory certifications: CLIA, NYS

• Trauma designation: Level 3

Cytology Proficiency Exam required for GYN cytology.

• Board Certification/Eligibility in Pathology

• Ability to perform grossing, frozen sections, and cytology

• Experience with hospital-based pathology labs preferred

• Credentialing timeframe: ~40–45 days
