ASAP Start | Ongoing Need | Long-Term Coverage

Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment due to a permanent vacancy.

This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity with a strong preference for one provider to cover consistently (though split coverage will be considered).

Position Details:

• Start: ASAP

• Duration: Ongoing

• Setting: Inpatient

• EMR: Cerner

• Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • Beeper call nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)

  • 24-hour beeper call on weekends (7:00am – 7:00am)
    

• Call Response Time: 20 minutes

• Phone Consults: 1–2 per call shift

• Cases: Up to 30 cases per day (primarily diagnostic)

• Pathologist Assistants available

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pathology

• BLS certification required

• Strong experience in Surgical Pathology (required)

• Grossing/frozen section experience preferred

• No supervision of APPs required

• No admissions

• Estimated credentialing: ~90 days

• Facility does not offer temporary privileges
