HCA Healthcare Pathology Services (HPS) and the Continental Division are seeking an experienced Pathology Medical Director for HCA HealthONE Aurora, a 346-bed acute-care and trauma facility located in the Denver suburb of Aurora, CO. This is an ideal position for a pathologist who values leadership, diagnostic excellence, and the opportunity to shape pathology and laboratory strategy within a nationally recognized healthcare system.
As part of HCA Healthcare—one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers—you’ll join a robust network of over 200 board-certified multispecialty pathologists who deliver high-quality, value-based pathology services to more than 100 hospitals nationwide. Qualified Candidates
- AP/CP Board Certification required
- 3+ years of Medical Director leadership experience preferred
- Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP responsibilities
- Strong thoracic pathology experience preferred
- Proficiency in acute-care general surgical pathology, clinical laboratory interpretations, and frozen sections
- Ability to obtain or hold a Colorado medical license
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clinicians, technical staff, and hospital leadership
- Subspecialty expertise in breast, lung, bone and soft tissue, cytopathology, or gynecologic oncology is highly valued—though all subspecialties are encouraged to apply
