HCA Healthcare Pathology Services (HPS) and the East Florida Division are seeking an experienced Pathology Medical Director for HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, a 430-bed Level II Trauma Center located in the heart of Florida’s beautiful Treasure Coast. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated pathologist who enjoys combining diagnostic excellence with administrative leadership and the ability to influence quality across a regional laboratory system.

Qualified Candidates
- AP/CP Board Certification required
- Hospital-based Medical Director experience preferred
- Current experience with frozen sections, general surgical pathology, and clinical interpretations
- Sub-specialty training highly valued
- Passion for advancing digital pathology
- Active Florida medical license or FCVS profile preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Practice Structure & Case Mix
Join a well-supported, collegial two-pathologist practice with a manageable, diverse case volume.
Practice Highlights
- ~5,000 annual cases
- Surgical pathology
- Cytology (non-gyn)
- Bone marrow cases
- No gyn cytology
- No autopsy responsibilities
- Oversight of laboratory services for multiple Free-Standing Emergency Departments tied to the hospital
