HCA Healthcare Pathology Services—one of the nation’s largest pathology groups with 200+ board-certified pathologists—is seeking a highly motivated AP/CP pathologist to serve as the solo Medical Director at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, a 392-bed Level II Trauma Center located on Florida’s scenic Gulf Coast, just north of Tampa.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a pathologist who thrives in an independent practice environment while benefiting from the stability, support, and resources of a large, integrated pathology network.
Position Highlights
- AP/CP Board Certification required
- Three or more years of hospital-based experience preferred
- Florida medical license or FCVS profile is a plus
- Manage a diverse and interesting case mix including:
- ~3,500 surgical specimens annually
- ~600 non-gyn cytology cases
- Full scope of AP/CP with the ability to shape and enhance pathology services at the site
- Collaborative environment with strong ties to medical staff, technical teams, and hospital leadership
- Autonomy of a solo practice setting with the backing of a national pathology organization
