The Physician will provide comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services
including but not limited to surgical pathology with frozen section interpretation; immediate specimen evaluations in radiology and endoscopy settings; gross examination of large specimens;
Review and sign-out of specimens grossed by pathology assistants;
Peripheral blood smear review;
Semen morphology analysis;
Evaluation of transfusion reactions and crossmatch studies;
Examination of joint fluids for crystal identification; and related administrative services within the Pathology Department or other assigned clinical locations.
The Physician will also participate in on-call coverage and contribute to multidisciplinary cancer conferences, including photographic documentation, on a rotational basis with other members of the department according to an established coverage schedule. These responsibilities are distributed based on departmental staffing levels, with each pathologist expected to assume an equal or near-equal share of duties regardless of full-time or part-time status, as operationally feasible.
