Job Description:
We are recruiting a Board-Certified Pathologist for a 3–6 month locum tenens assignment beginning February 16, 2026 at a Level II Trauma Center in Silver Spring, MD.
Schedule & Call

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call coverage: 1 week every 7 weeks

Call is typically light and manageable

Supported by 6 other physicians
Case Volume
-
20–30 pathology cases per day
-
Case mix includes:

Large cases: mastectomy, colectomy, prostatectomy

Medium cases: breast, prostate, GI biopsies
-
Small cases: gallbladder, appendix, hernia sacs, lipomas

Responsibilities
-
General surgical pathology sign-out
-
ROSE procedures
-
Non-GYN cytology
-
Clinical pathology
-
Participation in tumor boards and committees
-
On-call coverage across system hospitals
-
Opportunity to practice digital pathology
Requirements
-
Board Certified in Pathology
-
Active state license or IMLC
-
GU subspecialty preferred but not required
Credentialing: 60–90 days
