Pathology Opportunity - Dayton, OH Position Details

  • Seeking a Full-Time Pathologist for an evolving practice
  • Largest private pathology group in Dayton, Ohio
  • 13 pathologist, providing services for a tertiary care 900+ bed level 1 trauma hospital, multiple smaller regional hospitals, independent GI/GU/Heme labs and a large outreach clinical laboratory.
  • The full-time pathologists in the practice are responsible for handling surgical pathology cases, frozen sections, quick assessments/immediate reads (CT and US guided biopsies, navigational lung biopsies, EBUS, and EUS). Cytopathology cases include pap smears, non-gyns, and FNA‚Äôs. Clinical laboratory duties include interpretation of peripheral blood smears, hemoglobin electrophoresis, SPEP, and UPEP.
  • Call responsibilities include frozen sections and general clinical laboratory.
  • Do not perform autopsies.
  • Rotate and provide medical directorships as well as sign out responsibilities throughout the various locations.
  • Attend and present cases at multispecialty conferences including breast, lung, head and neck, neuro-oncology, gynecologic oncology, and hepatobiliary oncology as well as general tumor boards.
Qualifications: The applicant must be AP/CP BE/BC, hold or be eligible for an Ohio license, and be a permanent resident or US citizen.
