📍 Location: Multiple hospital sites (4 total) In WV
🗓️ Start Date: December 1, 2025 ( flexible)
📅 Contract: 6 months
🕗 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8a–5p
🏥 Setting: Hospital (floating between 4 locations)
💻 EMR: Cerner + Paragon
🩺 Position Overview
Support Staff:
2 full-time histotechs (gross biopsies, gallbladders, assist with FNAs & bone marrows)
Main lab includes full-time Lab System Director + senior techs in each department
Limited in-house special stains; immunohistochemistry performed by LabCorp with images available online
Call: 1–2 call-backs per week (mostly Blood Bank issues) — weeknight & weekend call rotation TBD
Patient Population: Mostly adult; rare pediatric smear reviews (occasional tonsils/appendix specimens)
Department: Level IV Trauma
⚙️ Skills & Procedures
Comfortable with occasional frozen sections
Cytology: Urines, bronch washes/brushes, pleural & ascitic fluids
Thyroid FNAs: Sent to LabCorp
👩⚕️ Requirements
✅ Board Certified in Pathology
✅ Active state license (IMLC accepted)
✅ DEA, BLS, ACLS required
⏱️ Credentialing: 30–60 days
