A healthcare organization in Grand Forks, ND, is seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist for locum coverage. The role involves interpreting surgical pathology, cytology, and fine needle aspiration specimens. This is a Monday through Friday position with a stable weekday schedule and no call responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct and interpret fine needle aspirations (FNA) and frozen sections.
Provide pathology consultation and ensure quality assurance in lab operations.
Utilize Epic EMR and Dragon Dictation for documentation.
Support regional lab directorship and ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
Qualifications
Active North Dakota license or IMLC with LOQ in hand – REQUIRED
Experience with cytology, FNA, and general surgical pathology – PREFERRED
Strong diagnostic and communication skills
Working Hours
Shift: 8-hour AM shifts (5x8s, 40 hours/week)
Meal Break: 30 minutes
On Call: No
Coverage Dates: January 19 – 23 and ongoing thereafter
Skills
Proficiency with Epic EMR and Dragon Dictation
High attention to diagnostic accuracy and detail
Excellent communication with clinicians and laboratory staff
