Anatomical Pathologist or Surgical Pathologist - Greater Orlando, FL
Job Type: Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely diagnosis of the presence and stage of disease from a tissue specimen, utilizing appropriate laboratory procedures. Confers with other physicians as needed;
- Takes the initiative to improve quality in the workplace;
- Provide intra-operative consultations;
- Provides advice to referring physicians regarding the clinical significance of laboratory findings.
Requirements:
- Pathologist with at least 3 years of post-residency Hospital experience
- Trained in Breast Pathology is preferred
- Trained in Genitourinary Pathology is preferred
- Experience in signing out complex cases
- Experience in signing a high volume of GI cases
- Ability to communicate with colleges and leadership
- Required: Board Certified in Anatomical Pathology, Surgical Pathology or cytopathology
- Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Florida.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience working with high volume.
- Experience with prognostic markers
