Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p

Full-time call coverage (1–2 callbacks/week, mostly Blood Bank related)

Setting: 70-bed acute care hospital, Level IV Trauma

EMR: Cerner / Paragon

Support staff:
-
2 full-time histotechs (gross biopsies & gallbladders, attend FNAs & bone marrows)

Full-time Lab system director + senior techs

Pathologist responsibilities:
-
Frozen sections (occasional)
-
Cytology (urines, bronchial washes/brushes, pleural & ascitic fluids)

Thyroid FNAs sent to LabCorp
-
-
Patient population: Primarily adults, rare pediatrics (tonsils, appendix, peripheral smears)
Requirements

Board Certification: Pathology (required)

License: WV (IMLC or temporary license eligible)

DEA: Required
-
Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: Minimum 1 year
