Join the pathology team in Grand Forks, ND. Work in a brand new hospital and state-of-the-art lab with a predictable weekday schedule and no call. This long-term locum position offers stability, advanced technology, and opportunities for regional lab leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Manage high-volume case load:
Surgical Pathology: ~14,000 cases/year
FNA Procedures: ~500/year
GYN Cytology: ~6,146/year
Non-GYN Cytology: ~1,300/year
Utilize Dragon Dictation and Epic EMR for reporting and documentation.
Provide quality pathology services in compliance with hospital and laboratory standards.
Participate in regional lab directorship activities as needed.
Qualifications
Eligible for North Dakota medical license (IMLC accepted).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgical pathology preferred.
Strong diagnostic, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with high case volumes.
Working Hours
No on-call responsibilities.
Full-time preferred, but will consider as little as 1 week per month.
Skills
Proficiency with ThinPrep Pap smear, FNAs, frozen section evaluations.
Familiarity with advanced lab equipment and technologies.
Competency in using Dragon Dictation and Epic EMR.
Strong organizational and case management skills.
