- Located in Freeport, IL - Chicago 115m
- Full-time, permanent position
Looking for an experienced and dedicated Pathologist to serve as both a practicing physician and the Medical Director of Pathology. This is an opportunity to shape and oversee a vital department within our integrated healthcare network, serving patients across northwest Illinois, eastern Iowa, and southwestern Wisconsin.
Position Highlights:
Full-Time: 5 days per week with shared call responsibilities Key Leadership Role: Oversee clinical lab operations, guide policy and procedure development, and maintain high standards in proficiency testing and quality assurance
High-Volume Practice:
- 250,000 - 350,000 laboratory tests annually
- 450-550 anatomic pathology cases per month
- 25-55 cytology cases (non-gyn) per month
- Fine needle aspirates and frozen sections
- Immunohistochemical staining (no MOHS procedures at this time)
