AP/CP Pathology Locums Job near Chicago, Illinois | Seeking Coverage for 19 Days in March/April Only
Jackson and Coker's valued client located in northern Illinois (just over 1 hour from Chicago) needs AP/CP Pathology locums coverage for 14 days in early March and for 5 days in early April to complete their schedule through August.
Dates of coverage the facility needs assistance with:
--Friday, 2/28 at 5PM – Friday, 3/14 at 5PM (will cover starting with weekend call on Friday PM - Monday AM)
--Monday, 3/31 at 7AM - Friday, 4/4 at 5PM
Description/Requirements for Assignment #106980:
* Active & unrestricted Illinois license required
* Board Certification required
* Seeking full-time day coverage + 24-hour on-call. 3 out of 4 weekends require call as well.
* Schedule: will cover scheduled lab days Monday - Friday and assist with night and weekend call coverage
* Will be the solo-Pathologist while covering and have the assistance of one histotech (there is a local facility that may at times assist with 2nd reads)
* Local pathology group will assist with splitting call coverage; not expected to be on weekend call every weekend during the stretch
* Scope of work: AP/CP Pathology; no subspecialty training required (specialty staining is sent out)
* Case volume: average 15 cases per day | Grossing is required for frozen and other sections
* Grossing is required, NO autopsies
* General mix of surgical path, cytology, FNA’s, and Frozens. Our volumes are generally around 400 cases/month, with 10 cytology cases and 3 frozens.
* Facility detail: 40+ bed facility, not a designated trauma center, located in northern Illinois outside of Chicago
