Pathology Locums Job in Kentucky | Hospital Looking for Both Long-Term Placement and Locums
Coverage Details for Assignment #101439:
-- Board Certification or Eligible required
-- Active Kentucky license and DEA are not required to apply (IMLC Available)
-- Seeking 1 week per month starting in early 2025
-- Monday through Friday + weekday and weekend call rotation
-- Broad-spectrum of pathology including complex surgical cases, frozen sections, gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytopathology, and clinical laboratory duties
-- Call and caseload are rotated/shared equally between 3 pathologists
-- One PA on staff who will assist with most grossing duties
-- Approximately 30 cases a day on average with 1 frozen and 3 immediate cytology’s to read on an average daily basis
-- Group oversees the clinical lab operations of 4 other rural hospitals which requires 1 onsite visit a month for QC reporting spilt between the Pathologists
-- Mix of Pulmonary, GI, Gyn, Skin, Placenta and Breast cases are the most common type of cases seen
-- Bone Marrows and Malignant Heme is sent out for work up
-- PA performs grossing and cuts frozens
-- Cytotechs on site and at least one additional Pathologist on site
