Pathology Core Faculty opening in Texas
- Located in Tyler, TX
- Full-time, permanent position
- H1B Visa eligible
We are searching for a full-time, academic non-tenure core faculty educator position in pathology.
Overview:
- 100% academic role with no clinical duties
- Develop goals, learning objectives, prework assignments, pre- and post-test assessment questions, and any supplemental materials
- Assist in developing cases for the case-based curriculum
- Run large group interactive sessions and facilitate case-based learning sessions:
- Year 1: 3 mornings per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
- Year 2: 3 half-days per week (2 afternoons, 1 morning), as assigned
- Participate in clinical correlations and illustrate horizontal and vertical integration of basic science materials
- Provide support, guidance, and mentoring to students during their clerkship year as needed
- Mentor students, review and edit personal statements, write letters of support for residency applications as requested
- Prepare for, attend, and participate in monthly faculty meetings
- Work on projects within at least one working group, such as OSCE case development, case-based learning, communication skills, write-up, oral case presentation and clinical reasoning, professionalism and ethics, mentoring, feedback, and evaluation
- Participate in and facilitate faculty development sessions and retreats as needed
